1. Introduction: PS CloudSetApp (Pty) Ltd t/a SETAPP EVENTS , we take pride in delivering quality event setup and management services. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines how we handle deposits, cancellations, changes, and refunds for our event and equipment hire services. By confirming a booking or making a payment, you agree to the terms below.
2. Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only when: A written quotation has been accepted by the client; and A deposit payment (as stated in the quotation or invoice) has been received by PS CloudSetApp (Pty) Ltd t/a SETAPP EVENTS . No services, dates, or equipment will be reserved without payment confirmation.
3. Deposit Policy: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. Deposits cover administrative, consultation, and preparation costs incurred prior to the event. The remaining balance is payable no later than 7 days before the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Cancellation Policy: If a client needs to cancel or postpone an event, written notice must be provided as soon as possible. Refunds or credits will be handled as follows: More than 14 days before event date - 50% of deposit refundable or full credit toward a future booking (valid for 6 months); Between 7–14 days before event - Deposit non-refundable, but 25% of total amount may be credited toward a future event; Less than 7 days before event - No refund or credit – full payment due to preparation and resource allocation. If the event is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. venue issues, power outage, or force majeure), PS CloudSetApp (Pty) Ltd t/a SETAPP EVENTS will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking at no extra charge, subject to date availability.
5. Refund Conditions: Refunds (when applicable) will only be made to the original payer and via the same payment method used for the booking. Refunds are processed within 10–14 business days after confirmation of eligibility. No refunds will be issued for: Changes requested after service delivery Client no-shows or last-minute cancellations Custom décor, rentals, or third-party items ordered specifically for the client
6. Event Changes and Adjustments: Any request to modify event details (date, venue, guest numbers, or design concept) must be made in writing. PS CloudSetApp (Pty) Ltd t/a SETAPP EVENTS reserves the right to adjust quotations or timelines based on the scope of the changes.
7. Service Cancellations by SETAPP EVENTS: In the unlikely event that PS CloudSetApp (Pty) Ltd t/a SETAPP EVENTS must cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. staff illness, emergencies, or force majeure), clients will be offered: A full refund of all amounts paid OR The option to reschedule to a mutually agreed future date. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from such cancellations.
8. Force Majeure: Setapp Events will not be liable for any failure to perform or delays due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, pandemic restrictions, or other events outside our control. In such cases, we will work with clients to reschedule services where possible.
